About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detailed-oriented Structural Technician/ Technologist to join our team in our Fredericton, NB office! Requirements

  • A diploma in Engineering Technology, CAD Technology, or Civil Technology preferred;
  • 2+ years progressive drafting experience as a modeling/drafting practitioner;
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD;
  • Good understanding of project construction practices and structural engineering drawings;
  • Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills;

Responsibilities

  • Preparing structural models and drawings of buildings and industrial structures utilizing Revit as a primary tool. AutoCad drawing preparation may be required from time to time;
  • Working closely with structural engineers, other structural technicians/technologists & project managers to ensure project deliverables are created efficiently and of high quality.;
  • Visiting project sites as required to take field measurements, notes etc.;
  • Utilize collaboration techniques for information management and implement Building Information Modelling (BIM);
  • Coordinating structural models with other disciplines;
  • Review shop drawings;
  • Performing field observation reviews during construction and issue summary reports.
