Engineering Support Services delivers engineering programs and support services to the Public Works & Environmental Services department, including developing the corporate Asset Management strategy for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and facilities, capital project management services (facility and network), lifecycle performance optimization, energy efficiency and energy management initiatives, and efficiency improvements for water, wastewater, stormwater and solid waste programs. You are responsible for providing technical support (in specialized engineering technology disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Civil) to the condition assessment and/or predictive maintenance programs for the City’s drinking water, wastewater and solid waste plants, facilities, linear assets, and equipment of Environment. You conduct predictive testing and inspections; collect, interpret and analyze data and information; provide technical support for the development of the annual and longer-term replacement maintenance programs; and audit operational and maintenance activities, and performance and audit reports on program completion prepared by operational staff, in order to note trends and anomalies.
