About The Position

We are seeking Structural Steel Welders to join our amazing team in Winston Salem. In this role, you will be responsible for welding various steel structures according to specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work overtime
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safety conscious
• Good attendance
• Ability to use steel hand working tools
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass a welders certification test
• Have the ability to safely operate overhead cranes

Nice To Haves

• Previous welding experience
• Knowledge of minor welding machine maintenance
• Knowledge of oxy/fuel torches and measuring devices, i.e. tapes, squares and levels

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using MIG welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
• Assist Fitter in aligning parts according to blueprint drawings
• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper safety protocols
• Inspect materials and products to ensure quality standards are met
• Grinds and repairs pieces when needed
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and work area cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
• Work overtime as needed
• Other duties may be assigned
