The selected candidate will initially be placed on one of Bechtel's four Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the US Gulf Coast Region for its Energy Global Business Unit. However, future mobility to other Global Business Units in different locations may be required. The ideal candidate will have market sector/sub-sector construction industry experience in energy (liquefied natural gas), manufacturing and technology (semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical, data centers, fire power generation), infrastructure (aviation, rail, roads/bridges), mining and minerals (water treatment plant, mineral extraction, metal refining), & nuclear, security, and environmental (nuclear power epc, power distribution, combined cycle, defense and space, environmental cleanup). As business needs arise, the candidate must be fully mobile.

Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
Ability to develop 3 week look ahead schedule in regards to work operations
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.
Some lifting may be required.
Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
Determines workforce requirements.
Coordinates established area operational plans.
Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
