About The Position

The Painter/Loader is mainly responsible for painting and preparing structural steel and assisting with loading and unloading steel from trucks as required. The position requires the ability to work a Mon-Fri schedule from 6am to 4:30pm, with optional Saturday overtime. The pay rate is $24-26 per hour.

Requirements

• Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint
• Must have experience with overhead crane
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
• Works in compliance with company's safety policies and procedures
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
• Basic math skills are required
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Prep and paint structural steel
• Operate forklift as needed
• Perform rigging work to move materials as requires
• Load and unload steel from trucks
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop
