About The Position

Midsouth Steel, a leader in the fabrication and erection of steel stairs, rails, and other miscellaneous steel has an immediate need for experienced Field Welders. This is a full-time on-site role for projects in the Charlotte, NC area and surrounding cities and sites. The Team Member will be responsible for assembling steel structures, working with power tools and welding equipment, handling iron and steel components, and ensuring safety and fall protection. Additional responsibilities include rigging and safely lifting steel components, following blueprints and technical drawings, and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently. This is a M-F position with occasional work on the weekends.

Requirements

• OSHA 10 required
• Certifications in welding, forklift, scissor lift, and rigging
• Experience working with power tools and welding equipment
• Proficiency in handling iron and steel components
• Knowledge of fall protection and safety measures
• Skills in rigging and lifting steel components
• Excellent physical stamina and the ability to work at heights
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to technical drawings
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Relevant certifications or training in steel erecting or related fields

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30 preferred
