About The Position

The Structural Steel Fabricator works in a steel fabrication facility, fabricating, assembling, and welding structural steel components according to blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of steel fabrication processes, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The position is in a job shop environment rather than a production environment and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Experience in structural steel fabrication or a related field.
• Experience working in a job shop environment rather than a production environment.
• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and work independently.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication tools and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• TIG welding experience.
• Stick welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Cut, shape, and assemble steel components using saws, torches, and welding equipment.
• Operate machinery such as shears, press brakes, and drill presses.
• Weld and fit structural steel according to project requirements.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Follow company safety protocols and industry standards.
