About The Position

Osborn Engineering is looking for a Structural Project Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to join our growing Pittsburgh office. This position will report to the Associate Director of Structural Engineering and will play a key role in supporting a wide range of structural projects for both private- and public-sector clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong consulting experience, enjoy working collaboratively, and be excited about the opportunity to help shape and grow our structural team. Requirements

4 – 7 Years of experience in Structural Design in Consulting Engineering.
Proactive and collaborative team member.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Creative problem solver.
Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as REVIT, RISA, ADAPT, EnerCalc, Tekla Structural Designer.
Strong knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.
Strong knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.
Experience in designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects.
Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s in Structural, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.

Responsibilities

Design of new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings.
Manage and Coordinate projects with clients and other disciplines.
Collaborate with Senior engineers to assemble structural work products.
Prepare structural integrity and assessment reports.
Design and detailing of structure including calculations and computer modeling, for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents.
Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings and attend coordination meetings.
Meet project schedule and budget requirements
Perform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase.
Participate in continuing education seminars and ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
