About The Position

WD is seeking a Project Engineer for its Structural team. The role takes design and construction projects from a defined concept through completion. Work includes designing building systems, performing engineering calculations, producing construction documents, traveling to job sites, and preparing technical documentation. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required. The position is open to remote work from anywhere in the United States and requires travel approximately once a month, locally or overnight, by car and/or plane. Candidates must be able to rent a car and travel by air.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Advanced knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Ability to make sound engineering decisions independently and deliver the quality, accountability, and care associated with PE licensure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate where appropriate.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Must be able to rent a car and travel by air.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with restaurant, retail, grocery, and/or healthcare projects is preferred.
