Our Construction Engineering practice works with fabricators, erectors, construction managers, and general contractors to provide connection design, temporary stability analysis, design of structures delegated to the contractor, design of industrial structures, and construction means-and-methods engineering. There will be an emphasis on the development of relationships with current, but also new clients to grow the practices revenue potential. The core areas of focus for growth are providing structural and construction engineering services with a focus on contractor needs for the construction industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, or a related field, required.
  • 4+ years of experience delivering complex technical design projects with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the design of steel connections.
  • Working knowledge of current industry software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, Risa3-D, PCA Software, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer and/or SE License, or the ability to obtain a license, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tekla Structures preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Structural analysis and design, with emphasis on detailing of steel connections.
  • Provide direction, coordination, planning, integration and completion of engineering, Advanced Project Delivery (APD) and/or connection design projects.
  • Coordinate of design and detail work with in-house engineering staff, Tekla modelers, as well as other design professionals.
  • Manage project design and deliverables as well as other design team members, supervise the work of engineers and modelers, and direct project staff in preparing contract documents such as drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate with clients to understand the project requirements.
  • Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
