About The Position

Supervises employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications.

Requirements

• Apprentice graduate, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 6 years of applicable technical experience.
• 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 2 years as a Supervisor Test Inspection 1 or equivalent position plus a minimum of 8 years related non-exempt experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inspection experience and/or knowledge of structural RCOH, Sub-Fleet Support, VCS PSA, CVN Inactivation experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong leadership skills, be able to interpret and understand drawings/methods/procedures, analyze Inspection Reports/Engineering Reports, train Supervisors and build metrics to measure performance.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings highly preferred.
• Applicant should have the ability to climb tall ladders, crawl tanks/bilges in confined spaces, and work in adverse environment conditions.
• Applicant should have the ability to access tight or confined spaces by crawling, bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Applicant should have the ability to access elevated and recessed areas with the use of ladders.
