About The Position

The Structural Fitter position is a fabrication role with a rotational schedule (5/2 Crew Change) located in Houma, LA. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong safety awareness, a good work ethic, technical skill, customer focus, open communication, and the ability to implement the company's vision and values.

Requirements

• 3 or more years prior fabrication experience
• Able to interpret ISO’s and P&ID’s
• Able to cut with a torch
• Square-cut and bevel-cut metal using arc cutting equipment
• Pierce and cut slots in metal using plasma arc cutting equipment
• Create field sketches
• Experience using safe work habits
• Candidates will be required to pass a Hands-on Fitter Test

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, aligns and secures parts for welding and bolt-up.
• Measure, mark, cut, bore, fit and/or install various structural components in accordance with blueprints and job specifications using hand and power tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders/benders, etc.
• Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
• Conduct behavioral based safety observations.
