About The Position

This role involves cutting, threading, and beveling pipe to specifications, as well as assembling and securing pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment. The position requires planning pipe system layouts, selecting appropriate materials, and performing modifications and maintenance on pipe systems and related equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to cut, thread, and bevel pipe to specifications.
• Proficiency in assembling and securing pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Skill in measuring and marking pipes for cutting and threading.
• Experience in laying out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
• Ability to plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Knowledge of selecting pipe sizes and types and related materials according to drawings and specifications.
• Experience in cutting and beveling holes in components, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
• Proficiency in modifying, cleaning, and maintaining pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and bevel pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, and threading joints.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to drawings and specifications.
• Cut and bevel holes in components, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
