About The Position

AECOM is seeking Structural Engineers and Designers at all levels to join their growing team across the southern US. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects. The roles include Junior, Mid-level, and Senior Structural Engineers and Task Leads, as well as Structural CAD Designers. Desired skillsets include experience with Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects, bridge design packages, and proficiency with software such as Bentley Microstation, Open Roads, Bentley Suite, CSiBridge, Midas, PGSuper, MDX, and VBent. Experience in retaining wall design and all aspects of bridge design, including superstructure and substructure design, as well as foundation design, is also sought.

Requirements

  • Structural CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
  • Familiar with bridge design software, including Bentley Suite, CSiBridge, Midas, PGSuper, MDX, and VBent
  • Experience in all types of retaining wall design
  • Experience in all aspects of bridge design, including, but not limited to: Prestressed beams & steel girders superstructure design; concrete multi-column, hammerhead, and straddle bent substructures – conventionally reinforced and post-tensioned; foundation design (using spread footings, drilled shafts, and HPiles)

Nice To Haves

  • Design/Build or Alternative Delivery project experience
  • Experience or interest in developing design packages for bridge design projects
  • EIT Certification or PE License
  • State DOT experience

Responsibilities

  • Work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.
  • Design bridge components including prestressed beams & steel girders superstructure design.
  • Design concrete multi-column, hammerhead, and straddle bent substructures – conventionally reinforced and post-tensioned.
  • Perform foundation design using spread footings, drilled shafts, and HPiles.
  • Design all types of retaining walls.
  • Develop design packages for bridge design projects.
