About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager (Team Lead) to be based in Denver, CO. This role is a key leadership position within AECOM’s Buildings + Places structural engineering practice, combining advanced technical leadership with people management, project delivery accountability, and practice development responsibilities. The Structural Engineering Manager will lead and grow a team of structural engineers supporting projects across commercial, aviation, federal, industrial, technology, and adaptive reuse markets. Typical project scales range from $5M–$500M in construction value, with opportunities to contribute to larger, complex programs. This role is ideal for a senior structural engineer ready to expand their leadership impact while remaining technically engaged in complex design challenges. Join our award‑winning Buildings + Places team and play a critical role in shaping project outcomes, developing future leaders, and advancing AECOM’s structural engineering practice in the Rocky Mountain region. AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice integrates architecture, interiors, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, workplace strategy, urban planning, and landscape architecture to deliver holistic, resilient, and innovative solutions. Our teams work across the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through construction administration—delivering projects that strengthen communities, advance sustainability, and create lasting value. This position serves as a trusted technical and people leader within the structural discipline. You will directly influence how structural engineering services are delivered, mentor and develop engineers at all stages of their careers, and help position AECOM as a technical leader in seismic design, retrofit, and complex building systems.
