About The Position

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to provide customer-oriented design and construction services to clients nationwide and in the Central Region. This role offers great growth potential. The position involves performing structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems, as well as for Energy and Industrial structures. Responsibilities include developing construction documents, providing construction administration services, and conducting site visits, client meetings, and project team coordination.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
5-8 years of structural engineering experience
Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry or wood
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
Revit and/or AutoCAD proficiency preferred

Responsibilities
