Requirements
- Proficiency with Revit (required)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (required)
- Experience with structural design software such as RISA (required)
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, clients, and stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external clients
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and learn new skills
- Interest in a variety of assignments and continuous professional development
- SE license or ability to obtain one (required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD (desirable)
- Experience with MicroStation (a plus)
- 5–15 years of structural engineering experience (desirable)
- PE license (desirable)
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Support the structural needs of industrial sites and integrate structural design with civil, rail, and mechanical disciplines
- Perform complex engineering calculations and utilize structural design software for analysis and design
- Conduct structural analysis, prepare specifications, details, and construction plans
- Assist with site investigations, field reconnaissance, modeling, construction document preparation, contractor pricing assistance, and project close-out documentation
- Mentor and assign duties to entry-level staff
- Prepare and review calculations, quantity take-offs, and opinions of probable construction costs
- Other duties as assigned
