The Engineer I/Engineer II executes consulting and development projects independently and under the direction of senior or staff level engineers. Additional responsibilities include assisting with proposal development, performing research and code development. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology recognized program. The position involves collecting data, performing standard structural modeling, computations, and analysis, preparing drawings, assisting with project proposals and documentation, and co-authoring technical reports. The engineer will also provide testing and QA for the Software department and interact with clients on a limited basis. The role demands strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in structural steel and reinforced concrete design, and familiarity with industry codes and standards such as AISC, ACI, ASCE, and ASME/API. Experience with analytical software, technical report writing, and computer programming is expected. Field experience will be gained through support for Risk Based Inspection, piping circuitization, materials operating envelopes, and shutdown support. A basic understanding of oil refinery processes and damage mechanisms is also beneficial.
