Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (or equivalent), Master’s degree preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate.
  • Two to four years of post-graduate experience, or one to three years with a Master’s Degree.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and project locations as required.
  • Willingness to attend meetings outside of regular business hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed structural designs using industry-standard analysis and design software
  • Perform structural analyses, prepare reports, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Works on projects of increasing difficulty.
  • Assists in the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs.
  • Compiles and computes engineering data for analysis and reporting.
  • Gathers and maintains records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, and reports.
  • Attends meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Reviews shop drawings for projects.
  • Prepares and submits permit forms to city/states; follows up on application status.
  • Participate in project meetings, client discussions, and multidisciplinary coordination.
