About The Position

RINA is recruiting a Structural Engineer for its Plant Engineering Division, based in Houston, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; or Chicago/Lisle, Illinois. The role designs and evaluates structures and foundations for clients in oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, and industrial markets, including process plants, storage and terminal facilities, and heavy industrial sites. The Onshore Structures team provides structural engineering for new facilities, expansions, and brownfield modifications across the project life cycle, from feasibility and front-end engineering through detailed design and construction support. The Structural Engineer performs analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures and foundations, ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with quality standards. The role plans and coordinates structural engineering activities, guides and reviews junior and intermediate engineers and designers, and serves as the structural technical lead within project teams under the overall direction of a Senior Engineer or Project Engineering Manager. Work involves collaboration with other engineering disciplines, direct client exposure, and may include site visits and construction support.
