About The Position

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a bridge Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing various structural systems for bridges on infrastructure projects. This position is expected to start in May 2027.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Excellent mathematical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Previous internship or professional experience in structural engineering
Proficiency in structural analysis software
Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Solid understanding of structural design principles and various construction materials
Knowledge of building codes and standards
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design calculations for diverse projects
Develop and review structural drawings and specifications using CAD software
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
Prepare technical reports and present findings to project managers and clients
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and emerging technologies
Participate in quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
