Structural Engineer
About The Position
An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer for their Tampa, Florida team! This role involves project and client management, business development, and overseeing the design process. The engineer will utilize technical expertise on building codes and design practices, supervise staff, and design new structures as well as alterations and additions to existing buildings. Responsibilities also include preparing structural assessment reports, performing calculations and computer modeling for various structural materials, managing projects, and conducting site reviews and construction administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of Structural Design Experience
- Working knowledge of structural analysis/design software (REVIT, RISA 3D, RISA Floor, ADAPT)
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred
- PE License preferred
Responsibilities
- Project/Client management
- Business development (prepare proposals/administer project contracts)
- Plan/manage design process
- Use technical expertise regarding local/national building codes/design practices
- Supervise staff
- Design new building structures, structural alterations, renovations and additions to existing buildings
- Prepare structural assessment reports
- Design/detailing of structure (calculations/computer modeling for steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures)
- Manage/coordinate projects
- Perform site reviews/construction administration services during the construction phase
- Ensure designs adhere to QA/QC standards
- Attend client meetings
