Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in structural design for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in STAAD Pro.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards, such as the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines.
  • Comfortable preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 5 years of structural engineering design experience, preferably supporting water/wastewater infrastructure projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • EIT certification or PE license.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, stormwater and flood resilience systems, shoreline and coastal stabilization, and resilient distribution and collection infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative designs that balance technical excellence, sustainability, and constructability.
  • Develop and evaluate structural design concepts based on site conditions, project objectives, regulatory requirements, and constructability considerations.
  • Perform structural assessments and engineering analyses to support feasibility studies, planning efforts, and detailed design.
  • Prepare high-quality technical deliverables, including engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions that comply with applicable codes and standards.
  • Support project delivery by assisting with budget tracking, schedule adherence, and coordination of project milestones.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project-related travel as required.
