About The Position

We have a customer in Denver, Colorado who has an IMMEDIATE long-term DIRECT HIRE opening for a Structural Engineer with experience in the design and structural analysis of large bulk material handling equipment. In this role you will be involved in the engineering design and structural analysis of large conveyors, crushers, screens, tanks, pipes, foundations, platforms, beams, supports, etc. for mining and related equipment. This position must be worked full-time on-site at company facility in Denver, CO.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited University.
• 5 years+ experience in Structural Engineering design and analysis of large bulk material handling, mining or similar equipment.
• Experience with AUTOACD 2D/3D, Advance Steel, RISA-3D or similar.
• Experience with AISC.
• Strong background and understanding of material specifications and relevant steel and building codes, load calculations, 2D/3D drawings, material take-offs, bill of materials/BOMs, review of vendor documents.

Nice To Haves

• PE, SE or in-process status preferred.
• Solidworks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engineering design and structural analysis of large conveyors, crushers, screens, tanks, pipes, foundations, platforms, beams, supports, etc. for mining and related equipment.
• Member sizing, connections, welds and preparation of project drawings and specifications.
• Develop and communicate structural details of connections, alternative framing solutions, structural analysis of structures similar to large crushers, conveyors, screens, tanks, pipes, platforms and foundations.
