About The Position

Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for our Muscatine, IA office. This role involves determining client requirements, developing reports, specifications, drawings, and instructions. The engineer will visit construction sites to monitor progress, assist in preparing cost estimates and design schedules, and evaluate the need for design changes, communicating recommendations to project managers or clients. The position also serves as a technical liaison with clients and coordinates technical efforts within discipline areas, consulting with construction personnel on design constructability related to field conditions. Compensated overtime is available to fit project needs and team workload.

Requirements

  • Experience in the design of buildings and other structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by ICC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Experience as structural lead on multiple concurrent large projects.
  • Proficient in concrete and structural steel design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.
  • Software: RISA or STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE (optional)
  • PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • 4-8 years of relevant structural experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government design standards such as Unified Facilities Criteria.
  • International travel capabilities.
  • Power generation experience.
  • Experience in Masonry, CFS, or Wood Design.

Responsibilities
