PACE Engineers, a Verdantas Company, is a Pacific Northwest engineering firm providing civil and structural engineering, planning, surveying, and construction management services. We are currently seeking to add an Engineer to our Structural team, which provides structural evaluation, design, and construction phase services to private and public-sector clients. Our structural team ensures that structures are safe, economical, and function throughout their intended lifetime, while valuing clients’ schedules and budgets through open and honest communication. Typical projects include Commercial/Industrial/Manufacturing, Non-Building Structures, Mixed-Use Building structures, Bridge and Transportation Structures, Construction Support, Energy Condition Evaluations, Tenant Improvement Designs, Seismic Evaluations, Structural Observation, Vulnerability Studies, Telecommunications Vaults, Walls, and Tanks, and Water/Wastewater Structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science – Civil Engineering
  • 4 - 9 years of civil engineering experience
  • Oregon State PE required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Washington State PE required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Eight or more years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Concrete Design
  • Steel Design

  • Oregon/Washington State SE preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.

  • Two years of project management of small projects a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple projects and work with staff and sub-consultants.
  • Coordinate and manage client requests and needs.
  • Apply technical knowledge of structural engineering principles.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to other staff.
  • Review design and production deliverables ensuring industry standard of care and compliance with PACE standards and policies.
  • Provide mentoring to new engineers.
  • Support proposal and business development efforts.
