About The Position

KPFF is seeking an adaptive and thoughtful Structural Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their growing Cincinnati team. This role offers the opportunity to build a meaningful career close to home while contributing to innovative structural engineering projects across the country. The engineer will contribute to structural engineering projects from concept through construction while continuing to grow as a licensed professional. They will work with experienced engineers, BIM professionals, and clients, with mentorship and career support from KPFF’s engineering team. The role involves taking on meaningful project responsibilities, strengthening technical and leadership skills, and contributing to impactful work locally and nationwide.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum 4 years of structural engineering design experience
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, RISA‑3D, or similar
Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)
Experience with BIM software such as Revit
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
Project management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of structural engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials
Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in feasibility studies, site investigations, and structural assessments, as needed
Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports in accordance with applicable building codes
Monitor project progress, identify risks or challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful outcomes
