About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a dedicated, creative, and energetic Structural Engineer to join their team in Houston, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, or Tampa, Florida. This role involves tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions for clients and communities. The engineer will collaborate with experienced professionals to support project development, interact with clients, and enhance technical capabilities. Arcadis emphasizes data-driven and digital solutions, utilizing techniques like design thinking to address client challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong structural analysis/design skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Familiarity/experience utilizing MathCAD, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and other structural software.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and commitment to providing quality work.
  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Flexible attitude towards assignments, with ability to take on new projects, and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks and challenges regularly.
  • Prior internship or experience in Engineering Consulting.
  • Advanced knowledge/experience with Mathcad, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.

Responsibilities

  • Work on water/wastewater structural engineering design and construction projects.
  • Produce design calculations, technical reports, permitting documentation, detailed design, and engineering plans and specifications for water/wastewater projects including plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, storm water systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems.
  • Organize and conduct structural-related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work with a well-defined scope.
  • Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and sub-contractors throughout the project life cycle.
  • Take direction from supervisor, task manager, or project engineer to work on projects including budgets and schedules.
  • Assist with the development and management of plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work.
