About The Position

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is hiring a Structural Engineer Intern for its Design Engineering Services Group. The intern will join the Infrastructure Design Department, a multidisciplinary group spanning structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines. The department supports design-build infrastructure projects with technical expertise and a construction-focused engineering approach. This position is based in Kiewit’s Lone Tree, Colorado office.

Requirements

Pursuing a master's degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis at an ABET-accredited college or university.
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to complete the job.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to participate fully in job assignments at the job site, district office, or assigned department.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Work productively and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others, individually or in a team environment.
Perform work safely and effectively; understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within deadlines, and work overtime and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

GPA above 3.0.
Familiarity with basic structural analysis and engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, SAP2000, and RISA-3D.
