About The Position

DPP is seeking a Structural Engineer III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing industry. This is a W2 contract role for 16 months, requiring the candidate to be a US Citizen with a current/active US Government secret security clearance. The role is onsite in Melbourne, FL, with a work schedule of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (9x80 A).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 10 years’ experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis; OR, Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years’ experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis; OR Ph.D. degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years’ experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis.
Secret clearance must be active prior to the start of the position.
US Citizen: This role requires a current/active Secret US security clearance, which requires a thorough background search and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

Perform static, dynamic, and DaDT structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structure, mechanical systems, and equipment, by hand and by using the automated methods and procedures approved for the program.
Derive non-flight applied loads, create, extract, and distribute internal loads utilizing tools such as FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter and other software applications.
Collaborate in a team environment.
Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result.
Prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously.
Comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
