About The Position

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead complex structural engineering projects from concept through completion while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, performance-driven solutions. You will partner with clients, project managers, and consultants to align project goals, solve technical challenges, and maintain momentum throughout the project lifecycle. You will also mentor junior engineers and help elevate team performance through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and a collaborative approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required.
  • Typically 15+ years of post-graduation professional engineering experience and/or 10+ years of professionally licensed experience.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and standard technology/software tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry codes and standards and the ability to apply them throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to evaluate structures under a variety of conditions using advanced techniques such as vibration analysis, ponding, composites, and thermal influence.
  • Ability to upgrade existing structures to meet new codes or improve performance in alignment with Performance Based Design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality engineering designs and specifications aligned with project goals across a range of project complexities.
  • Lead advanced construction administration activities, including RFIs and shop drawing reviews, with minimal supervision.
  • Establish documentation standards and procedures that ensure consistent, accurate deliverables aligned with Performance Based Design principles.
  • Analyze project feasibility, performance metrics, and risk factors to provide proactive technical insights and support decision-making.
  • Coordinate with project managers, team leads, clients, consultants, and governing agencies to advance scope, schedule, budget, and compliance requirements.
  • Review complex project documentation and field conditions to confirm quality, code compliance, and alignment with design intent.
  • Mentor engineering staff by serving as a technical subject matter expert, contributing to lessons learned, and supporting continued professional growth.
