About The Position

LPA is seeking a Structural Designer to join its multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and master planners. The structural engineering group works on a broad range of projects, including offices, education and recreation buildings, laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. The position contributes to projects at each stage of design, with a focus on collaborative and sustainable design. LPA provides mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities, including support preparing for PE and SE licensure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Enthusiastic commitment to multidisciplinary design and working in a team environment.
• Curiosity and an open-minded approach to learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Revit, RAM, RISA, and ETABs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA.
• Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with comprehensive structural design for a variety of building types and structural systems.
• Research next-generation design and analysis methods related to projects.
• Participate in the construction administration phase of projects.
• Receive mentorship and training from Project Leaders, including preparation for PE and SE licensure.
