About The Position

LPA is seeking a Structural Designer to join its integrated, multidisciplinary design team. The role contributes to projects ranging from office, education, and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. The Structural Designer participates throughout the design process and construction administration, supporting the structural design of varied building types and systems while contributing to research into next-generation design and analysis methods. The position includes mentorship and training from project leaders, including preparation for PE and SE licensure, as well as opportunities for professional and leadership development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Enthusiastic commitment to multidisciplinary design and teamwork.
Curiosity and an open-minded approach to learning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Revit, RAM, RISA, and ETABs.

Responsibilities

Participate in LPA’s integrated design process with other disciplines.
Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with comprehensive structural design for a variety of building types and structural systems.
Research next-generation design and analysis methods related to projects.
Participate in project construction administration.
Receive mentorship and training from Project Leaders, including preparation for PE and SE licensure.
