About The Position

The Structural Designer I assists in the design and production of construction documents ensuring the designs are efficient and compliant with building codes and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with AutoDesk software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Working knowledge of AutoDesk software such as AutoCAD and Revit and Microsoft Office.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reads, writes, and reviews with a high level of comprehension and attention to detail.
  • Responds effectively to common inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Capably presents reports and information to colleagues and leaders as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate of science degree in computer-aided drafting and design with 1-2 years of experience in structural design is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve project constraints.
  • Assists with the design and detailing required to produce a complete set of construction documents.
  • Demonstrates a steadily increasing commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and overall quality in all deliverables.
  • Consistently demonstrates good judgment.
  • Consistently completes assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Travels in state for work occasionally. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
