About The Position

Job responsibilities include producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork, preparing layouts and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings, preparing material takeoffs and assist with cost estimates, coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, and performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability.

Requirements

• 20+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience
• Proficient using AutoCAD
• Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
• Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors

Nice To Haves

• 3D modeling experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in Microsoft/Bentley and/or Advanced steel structural software is preferred
• Steel/concrete detailing background is a plus
• Able to produce clear, concise drawing notes
