About The Position

As a Structural Designer, you will play a critical role in the conceptualization, planning, and development of safe and efficient building structures across a variety of projects. Your expertise will ensure that designs meet all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements while optimizing material use and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to translate architectural visions into structurally sound realities. This role demands a strong understanding of structural principles, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce detailed design documentation. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the creation of durable, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing buildings that stand the test of time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM tools.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, standards, and regulations including IBC, ASCE, and ACI.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proven experience in structural building design.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for commercial buildings using industry-standard software.
  • Analyze building plans and specifications to ensure structural integrity, compliance with building codes, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall building designs.
  • Prepare cost estimates, material specifications, and technical reports to support project proposals and construction phases.
  • Stay current with advancements in structural design technologies, materials, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve design quality.
