About The Position

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience preparing AutoCAD design drawings and REVIT models for municipal, commercial, and industrial facilities. A thorough understanding of Auto Cad and REVIT is required. Experience drawing building layouts, floor plans, foundation plans, framing plans, wall sections, and details is essential. Experience with creating REVIT libraries, using BIM360, and coordinating drawings between multiple disciplines is a plus. The candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with engineering design staff and generate proper drawing notations.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience preparing AutoCAD design drawings in Auto Cad.
Minimum 3 years of experience preparing REVIT models.
Thorough understanding of Auto Cad.
Thorough understanding of REVIT.
Experience drawing building layouts, floor plans, foundation plans, framing plans, wall sections and details.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Capable of multitasking.
2-4 years design experience.
Sound understanding of design concepts with minimal engineering input.
Proficiency in using CADD/drafting software for moderately-difficult design assignments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with creating REVIT libraries.
Experience using BIM360.
Experience coordinating drawings between multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

Develop 2D Auto Cad drawings and 3D REVIT Models for building construction documentation.
Work with manager and design staff to generate plans, sections, and details based on design discussions.
Manage drawing sets.
Assist with development of as-built drawings by performing field measurements.
Work includes updates and corrections to drawings of structural, water, wastewater, electrical and plumbing systems.
