Structures Team Lead – Georgia Division At Benesch, we’re not just designing structures — we’re shaping communities. As our Structures Team Lead, you’ll play a vital role in delivering impactful bridge and structural projects that strengthen transportation networks, improve safety, and connect communities across Georgia. Working alongside the Structural Engineering Group Manager, you'll lead project delivery efforts, mentor engineers, and help advance technical excellence throughout our growing team. This hybrid position offers flexibility to balance in-office collaboration at our Atlanta office with remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience in bridge and structural design for transportation infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated success leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary efforts
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design standards, and applicable industry regulations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
  • A passion for developing people, delivering quality work, and making a positive impact on the communities we serve

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of bridge and structural design projects from planning through final design and construction support
  • Manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure high-quality project outcomes
  • Serve as a technical mentor to engineers and designers, fostering professional growth and a culture of collaboration
  • Partner with the Structural Engineering Group Manager to support team development, workload management, and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions
  • Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, and technical excellence across all project deliverables
  • Contribute to proposal development, project pursuits, and client relationship-building efforts
  • Help advance structural engineering practice through innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
