About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Structural Analysis Manager to join the Advanced Structural Concepts team in Huntington Beach CA. This role requires engineering knowledge of vehicle structural analysis and validation. composite material strength and production, structural optimization and sizing, and experience with analysis requirements and objectives across the product life cycle phases. This role also includes analysis oversight for high temperature and cryogenic structures including combined thermo-mechanical displacement analysis, CTE mismatch joint analysis, familiarity with ceramic matrix and polymer matrix composite analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Structural Analysis Team in the development, integration, and transition of advanced structural concepts and technology for commercial aircraft, military aircraft, rotorcraft, space vehicles, UAVs, and advanced vehicle prototypes.
  • Responsible for the management, execution, and growth of contracted and internally funded research and development projects.
  • Oversees planning and execution of project schedules, finances, and deliverables.
  • Develops, maintains, and grows relationships with peers, direct reports, stakeholders, government organizations, industry partners, and universities.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Leads process improvements and sets operational goals
  • Collaborate with other organizations, such as Business Development, Contracts, Finance, Supplier Management, and Human Resources
