About The Position

Responsible for preparing and explaining procedures to patients. The Stress Technician must be proficient and knowledgeable in stress protocols and different types of testing. The Stress Technician is responsible for monitoring the patient’s blood pressure during exercise and pharmacological testing. The Stress Technician must be knowledgeable and capable of using equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and other related equipment necessary for patient monitoring and safety. Employees should be able to monitor patients and know when they are in distress. The employee is proficient in intravenous line insertion. The employee is responsible for confirming patients, preparation of charts, abstracting of studies, and working well with other team members and co-workers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of Two years Experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant
  • Strong ethical and moral character references
  • Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions, knowledge of moderately complex or other work procedures.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team setting to coordinate a variety of activities and events.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to handle sensitive matters using discretion, diplomacy, and good judgment.
