About The Position

AlignedCardio is a growing private cardiology practice with an entrepreneurial spirit, seeking a skilled Cardiac Stress Test Technician to join their team in Central Virginia. This role is crucial in diagnosing and monitoring heart health in a fast-paced outpatient setting, working alongside cardiologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, and clinical staff. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• At least one year of cardiac stress testing or related cardiovascular experience preferred.
• Strong ECG knowledge.
• Excellent patient communication skills.
• Sharp attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Allied health or cardiovascular training preferred.
• Certification as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Stress Test Technician preferred.
• Experience in a cardiology practice or hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR and cardiology imaging/workflow systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress testing according to physician protocols.
• Prepare patients for testing, including obtaining medical history and explaining procedures.
• Continuously monitor ECG, heart rate, blood pressure, and patient symptoms during tests.
• Recognize and promptly communicate abnormal findings to the supervising physician.
• Accurately document procedures and prepare studies for physician interpretation.
• Maintain stress testing equipment and ensure the department is emergency-response ready.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and an outstanding patient experience.
