About The Position

This role involves utilizing first principle methods and design tools to develop new aircraft products. The successful candidate will own the development of primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies (metallic and composite) from preliminary design through prototype manufacturing. Responsibilities include performing complex modeling and finite element analysis at the detailed component level, major assembly level, and aircraft level, covering strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination. The role also requires applying design for manufacturing concepts for cost-effective and efficient production, conducting trade studies, and performing research on complex engineering concepts to optimize solutions for weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment to solve complex problems with an emphasis on schedule and cost objectives is key. The position also involves coordinating work with various engineering teams and providing onsite engineering support at manufacturing and integration sites.
