What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will serve as the foundational intelligence engine for our long-term growth, directly influencing high-level product lifecycle management and global corporate investments. You will have a unique platform to counsel executive leadership, pressure-test strategic hypotheses, and define the macro trends that will impact the global enterprise technology landscape over the next 3 to 5 years.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in strategic market research, corporate strategy, or product marketing within a tech company or consulting practice.
  • Proven track record of influencing executive-level decisions regarding product lifecycles and corporate investment strategies.
  • Deep expertise designing primary and secondary research methodologies, including advisory boards, surveys, and financial filing analysis.
  • Mastery of corporate research tools, such as Gartner, Forrester, Bloomberg, CapIQ, or AlphaSense.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience scouting targets for corporate development and M&A activities within the construction or technology sectors.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex data into compelling narrative architectures for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage qualitative and mixed-method insights to identify and pressure-test market-driven opportunities, helping leadership distinguish between compelling ideas and viable strategic opportunities.
  • Working with AECO Operating teams, develop structured customer panels and executive listening programs that provide leadership with direct exposure to industry stakeholders to build organizational empathy and enable faster, more informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the AECO Finance and Corporate Development teams to evaluate the external landscape for inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Partner directly with VP-level Product teams to translate market gaps, competitive vulnerabilities, and emerging customer needs into actionable, multi-year product roadmap requirements.
  • Uncover customer motivations, decision-making processes, and unmet needs to complement quantitative segmentation and show executives why customers behave the way they do.
  • Monitor, analyze, and predict long-term global enterprise technology trends, including shifting economics, AI consumption models, and data regulations.
  • Understand AECO Addressable Market, sub-segment the enterprise landscape into high-yield verticals, and map the behavioral friction points and economic incentives of B2B buyers.
