Strategy & Operations Manager, Account Management

BetterUpAustin, TX
$108,000 - $150,000Hybrid

About The Position

This role is for a Strategy & Operations Manager, Account Management at BetterUp, a company focused on human transformation. The company emphasizes a unique employer/employee relationship, offering benefits beyond a paycheck such as a personal coach, development plan, and a supportive team. The role involves joining a team of Strategy & Business Operations Associates to drive data-driven insights and implement cross-functional initiatives for scaling coaching. Specifically, this position will focus on building a new go-to-market segment and approach centered on CxO engagement through peer connections and a consultative sales experience. Success requires comfort working with the executive team and board to develop, drive, and report on key organizational initiatives. The ideal candidate is adept at problem-solving with poise and attention to detail, ensuring operational efficiency. Qualifications include data analytics capabilities, operational savviness, strong organization, problem-solving passion, and executive presence for managing complex interpersonal situations. The company is hybrid, requiring employees to be available to work from office hubs at least two days per week or eight days per month.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or equivalent experience.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Strong interest in organizational behavior, positive psychology, coaching, or behavioral sciences.

  • Strong experience with and comfort analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to derive specific, focused insights.
  • Project management & execution skills, including attention to detail, commitment to consistently meeting timelines, operating from a sense of urgency, and an ability to prioritize across multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Scrappiness: Someone who gets excited about rolling up their sleeves and doing whatever it takes to deliver, in a way that you impress yourself. You do not hesitate to get involved, from the high-level, strategic work to the tactical (sometimes thankless) work. You have a bias towards action and the ability to translate objectives into concrete work plans.
  • No ego teammate: We thrive in an environment of healthy and respectful collaboration that is fundamentally driven by the desire to succeed as a team.
  • Adaptation and continuous learning are part of our daily work.
  • Excited to evolve alongside technology – people who experiment boldly, share their discoveries openly, and help define best practices for AI-augmented work.
