About The Position

Neion Bio is harnessing nature’s best molecular factory, the chicken egg, to make medicine affordable, accessible, and resilient. We turn farms into medicine factories using cutting edge genetic engineering and stem cell technology. These “living bioreactors” are fully autonomous 3D biomolecular printers that operate on existing industrial-scale infrastructure. Our platform can rapidly and scalably produce almost any protein, provide national resilience to drug shortages and de-risk complex supply chains, and ultimately take advantage of novel biological environments to solve unmet medical needs. Biomanufacturing, reinvented. Medicine, democratized. We are looking for an exceptional Strategy & Operations Lead to work directly with the CEO and leadership team to help build, operate, and scale Neion Bio. This person will serve as a high-leverage generalist across company strategy, business operations, fundraising, partnerships, hiring, investor relations, and special projects. This is a role for someone who can move fluidly between strategic thinking and operational execution: building models, preparing board materials, managing cross-functional projects, coordinating external relationships, improving internal processes, and ensuring that critical priorities move forward. The ideal candidate is someone who takes full ownership of projects, is proactive, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, venture capital, investment banking, corporate development, business operations, product, or an operating role at a high-growth startup
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines
Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level memos, presentations, investor materials, or strategic analyses
Experience building financial models, operating models, dashboards, or internal planning systems
High degree of ownership, judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and drive projects forward without extensive oversight
Strong business acumen and comfort working across finance, operations, strategy, legal, fundraising, and partnerships

Responsibilities

Partner directly with the CEO on company strategy, operating priorities, fundraising, business development, and organizational planning
Drive high-priority strategic initiatives and special projects across the company, from conception through execution
Help translate company goals into operating plans, milestones, budgets, dashboards, and internal accountability systems
Prepare materials for investors, board meetings, strategic partners, government stakeholders, and other external audiences
Support fundraising processes, including investor pipeline management, diligence materials, data rooms, financial models, and communications
Help manage business operations, including company planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, legal/admin workflows, hiring processes, and internal systems
Conduct market, competitive, regulatory, and strategic analysis to inform company priorities and decision-making
Serve as a trusted thought partner and force multiplier for the CEO and executive team
