About The Position

The Foundry is a New York-based team of entrepreneurs, product managers, operators, and strategists who have a proven track record of turning ideas into successful new growth businesses. In April 2016, EY acquired this team out of Highnote Foundry, a venture capital and venture services firm, in order to build and launch new businesses for EY Americas Tax. EY Americas Tax is a leader in corporate tax services and is aggressively pursuing innovation to define the tax function of the future for the world’s largest multi-national corporations. As a Strategy Manager, you will work with senior Foundry team members to evaluate and pursue new growth and margin opportunities across EY’s Tax business.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from a top tier university, graduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in management consulting or corporate strategy; experience in new product or venture delivery a plus
  • Ability to structure problems, conduct analyses, and articulate recommendations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Impeccable oral, written, and visual communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Analysing market dynamics and business trends
  • Developing growth strategies
  • Presenting recommendations for how to advance them
  • Framing problems, breaking them down into component parts, and evaluating each methodically and thoroughly
  • Conducting primary and secondary research
  • Creating financial models
  • Evaluating startups and disruptive technologies
  • Helping develop business cases in support of new opportunities
  • Managing discrete workstreams to support the development of new businesses as growth opportunities are prioritized and funded
