Strategy Lead

Innovamat•New York, NY
•$0 - $180,000•Onsite

About The Position

Our Growth & Strategy Lead role sits at the intersection of strategy, commercial growth, and execution. You’ll work closely with our General Manager on strategic priorities — while also being close to the market: building relationships with district leaders, owning territory strategy, helping shape our GTM motion, and identifying opportunities for market expansion. It’s a role for someone who genuinely enjoys zooming out to think strategically and zooming in to understand the customer, test ideas, and make things happen. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we grow in the US while staying close to the schools, districts, and educators we serve — and see the impact of your work firsthand. This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up: develop a network across the education ecosystem, shape our approach to the market, and eventually help build and lead the team as the region grows.

Requirements

  • Experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment such as consulting, investment banking, tech, startups, education, or another entrepreneurial setting.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, building partnerships, or developing new markets is a plus.
  • A track record of taking ownership and making things happen.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Strategic and structured thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and execute.
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and build from scratch.
  • Curious, thoughtful, and able to understand complex organizations and decision-making processes.
  • High ownership: You take responsibility and follow through.
  • Entrepreneurial: You’ve helped launch or scale something from 0→1 or enjoy building something where the path isn’t always clear.
  • Relationship-driven: You genuinely enjoy getting to know people and building trust over time.
  • Curious: You want to deeply understand education, mathematics, and the communities we serve.
  • Collaborative: You build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Mission-driven: You care about improving education and want your work to have a meaningful impact.
  • Based in New York City and willing to travel ~50%.
