About The Position

We are seeking a highly proactive and self-motivated Strategy and Growth Associate to support the Director of Strategy and Growth, North America, in establishing and expanding MJV’s presence in Chicago. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new office from the ground up, gain hands-on experience in business development, strategy, and market intelligence, and make a tangible impact on MJV’s success in the region. The ideal candidate is eager to pursue clients, secure meetings, and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role with MJV USA, offering a pathway for career growth within our organization.

Requirements

  • Exceptional proactivity and self-motivation, with a strong drive to pursue clients and secure meetings.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to gather and synthesize market intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for confident prospect outreach and internal collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Eager and tenacious in going after clients and scheduling meetings to drive business growth.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Passion for learning and contributing to the growth of a new office.
  • Ability to commit to 20-30 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Prior experience in business development, sales, marketing, or strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Actively pursue clients by scheduling meetings with prospective clients, managing the Director’s calendar, and coordinating follow-ups to ensure seamless communication and relationship-building.
  • Proactively identify and research high-potential prospects for MJV’s services, including corporations, startups, and other organizations in need of strategy, innovation, or transformation consulting.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute strategies for client acquisition, market penetration, and brand awareness in Chicago.
  • Conduct thorough research on the Chicago market, including industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging opportunities, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify relevant industry events, conferences, or networking opportunities in Chicago and assist in planning MJV’s participation.
  • Bring fresh, creative ideas for business development, marketing campaigns, and innovative approaches to attract and retain clients.
  • Maintain and update client and prospect information in MJV’s CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads and opportunities.
  • Assist in creating presentations, proposals, and other materials to pitch MJV’s services to potential clients.
