About The Position

The Strategy Group has played a central role in transforming Capital One from a small startup in 1994 to one of the largest financial institutions in the country. The group is accountable to the founder / CEO and functions as an internal strategy consultancy, partnering with company leadership to solve the industry’s toughest challenges, determine where the company needs to win in the future, and develop delightful products and experiences for our millions of customers. We’re seeking innovative, inclusive, and passionate people with a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds who want to join a fast-paced, collaborative team and make an impact. Strategy Consulting Interns have an exciting opportunity to develop world-class consulting skills to shape the direction of one of the largest companies in the U.S. They will work collaboratively on small project teams, taking on company-defining strategic issues and directly partnering with the company’s CEO, senior executives, and their teams. Interns will work alongside experienced consultants who are invested in them, and receive hands-on coaching and feedback to rapidly grow their skills. They will develop a deep understanding of technology, the financial services industry, and a variety of business functions, while advancing critical thinking, problem solving, communication, influence, and leadership skills in a fast-paced, collaborative, and inclusive environment dedicated to professional development and growth. Interns will leverage the expertise of team members from a variety of professional backgrounds, including management consulting, financial services, entrepreneurship, and more.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree by August 2028 or earlier
  • Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree following completion of the internship
