About The Position

The Strategy and Business Development Analyst supports strategic planning, market analysis, and business development efforts across Franciscan Health Central Indiana. This role works directly with the Strategy and Business Development team and collaborates with other functions like finance, data analytics, and operations. The position involves market research and analytics, internal analysis, business case development, and supporting service lines and partnerships to advance strategies that strengthen market position, enhance patient access, and support the overall sustainability of Franciscan Health. Franciscan Health is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and promoting health and wellness in its community. With 12 ministries and access points across Indiana and Illinois, it is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Health Care or related.
  • 1 year Proficiency in data analyses and visualization tools.
  • 1 year Progressive experiences in healthcare, strategy planning, business development, healthcare consulting or related field.
  • 1 year Experience in healthcare, hospital, health system, physician/medical group, or healthcare consulting environments.
  • 1 year Strong analytic skills, financial modeling capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • 1 year Business case development and project management skills.
  • 1 year Understanding of healthcare market dynamics and ability to conduct independent and directed research.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration, or Business Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing market assessments and business cases for new service lines, current service line expansion/contraction, partnerships, and geographic expansion.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and other outputs.
  • Support the development of monthly dashboards, reporting packages, and other strategy updates and status reports.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and qualifying new growth initiatives across service lines and partnerships to increase revenue and market share.
  • Conduct business development analyses and prepare business cases, in collaboration with Strategy and Business Development leadership, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support process development and project management efforts.
  • Provide support to the Business Development Manager for outreach and community-based initiatives.
  • Leverage knowledge and experience in healthcare research and insights related to emerging healthcare trends (national, state, and local), market activities, market disruptors, new/emerging market opportunities, and other information pertaining to the advancement of strategy and business development activities for Franciscan Health.
